Hizb modules busted, 14 arrested

Srinagar: With the arrest of 14 youths, Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have busted two modules of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit, involved in two recent IED blasts and other attacks in north Kashmir. "We have busted two modules of the Hizb operating in Baramulla and Sopore towns with the arrest of 14 persons. These modules were involved in two IED blasts in the recent past," DIG B. Srinivasan told reporters at Baramulla district headquarters. He said the growing trend of "outsourcing" by militant groups, who hire civilians to help in the attacks in exchange for money, has been exposed again with these arrests. - PTI
