Letters to the Editor
Although the formation of a new front by eight regional parties in Hyderabad is unlikely to cause any jitters in the Congress or the BJP camp, the effort cannot be undeestimated. It is obvious that the front intends to make its presence felt in the presidential election.
J.S. Acharya,
Hyderabad
Harischandra Parasuram,
It is not going to be easy for the leaders of the eight parties to come to an understanding on issues. Such combinations will only help the ruling UPA, which is also not in a position to deliver.
S. Venugopalan,
The front consists only of regional parties whose influence is confined to some States. The futility and limitation of such a front will be exposed when the general elections are held. If they come together to form a single party, it may have the desired effect.
P.U. Krishnan,
