Big win for DTDC SC

Bangalore: Manoj Sai's unbeaten 117 and Bhavesh's five-wicket haul helped DTDC SC defeat ITC SC by 227 runs in The Hindu Trophy tournament match here on Friday.

DTDC posted 265 for three in 27 overs and bundled out ITC SC for 38.

Earlier, host The Hindu suffered a 134-run defeat against BEML Rail Coach. BEML scored 206 for seven in 30 overs with M. Alexander chipping in with a 50. Medium-pacer M. Mayavan bagged four wickets. Later The Hindu was bowled out for 72 in 24.2 overs with G.R.N. Somashekar's 24 being the top score.

The scores: DTDC SC 265 for three in 27 overs (Manoj Sai 117 n.o., Mohd. Hidhyath 77 n.o.) bt ITC SC 38 in 15 overs (Bhavesh five for 18, Sarath four for 20).

BEML Rail Coach 206 for seven in 30 overs (M. Alexander 50, Bhaskar four for 30) bt The Hindu Sp. Club 72 in 24.2 overs.

BMTC SC 173 in 29.3 overs (R. Manju 54, Murthy 42) lost to HASC 174 for three in 22.5 overs (D. Saravanan 85, B.K. Kumar 47 n.o.).

AIR India SC 96 for six in 30 overs lost to LRDE SC 102 for one in 12.5 overs.

NAL SC 115 in 24 overs (Kiran 43, Chennarayappa four for six) bt Siemens SC 68 in 23 overs.
