"I am in politics due to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh"

Mumbai: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani on Friday credited his presence in politics and also that of several other party leaders to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

"For most of us, but for the RSS we would not have been in politics," said the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

He was speaking on the occasion of the felicitation of veteran BJP leader Vedprakash Goyal and his wife Chandrakanta.

"Parivar is the most common word in my vocabulary and this whole parivar is today happy because Vedprakashji is being feted," the senior BJP leader said. — PTI
