DELUXE: G. Janardhan Reddy's campaign bus
BELLARY: G. Janardhan Reddy, suspended BJP MLC, plans to launch a Statewide campaign to reiterate his Rs. 150-crore bribery charge against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Home Minister M.P. Prakash and Minister for Forests C. Chennigappa. He has already purchased a well-equipped luxury bus to tour the State. The air-conditioned bus, on which he spent a huge amount, has been designed and built by a Pune-based company. It has TV sets, provision to install a satellite phone, pantry, bathroom and the like. The windscreen and windows have bullet-proof glass. The bus has an electronically operated lift and a public address system to enable for Mr. Reddy to use during his campaign and also during election campaigns. Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, he said he expected good support for his campaign from various quarters, including legislators. Referring to the reported statement of Labour Minister Iqbal Ansari that Mr. Kumaraswamy should continue as Chief Minister to ensure the development of the State, Mr. Reddy charged that such statements were being issued at the behest of JD(S) president H.D. Deve Gowda.
