KOTTAYAM: The Nair Service Society (NSS) has asked the Government to publish the report of the Crime Branch investigation into the incidents that led to the controversial `devaprasnom' at Sabarimala and the developments thereafter. In a statement on Saturday, general secretary P.K. Narayana Panicker said the report had been lying with the Government for the past one-year. The Hindu community had the right to know the details regarding one of the most regrettable incidents in the history of the community. The `devaprasnom' and the later developments involving Kannada actor Jaimala had discredited the community and questioned the credibility of the age-old practices, he said. The members of the community were hurt and it was against this background that the NSS had sought investigation into the whole incident. Though the investigation had been completed and its report submitted a year back, no one knew about the contents of the report, he said. The NSS general secretary called upon the Government to publish the report and take disciplinary action against the guilty.
