Kenthorai CC takes trophy

Udhagamandalam: A deadly bowling spell by medium-pacer S. Senthil Kumar saw Kenthorai CC post a two-wicket win over Green City CC in the final of the TNCA-NDCA `C' division league for the Fountain India Rolling Trophy here on Saturday.

The scores:

`C' division (final): Green City 77 (S. Senthil Kumar five for 9) lost to Kenthorai 78 for eight in 14 overs (B. Kannan five for 19).

Adithya advances

M. Adithya rallied to beat Ramasamy Raja 21-10, 14-21, 21-17 to enter the men's singles third round in the Coimbatore district seniors' prize money badminton tournament in Coimbatore on Saturday.

Selection trials

The Coimbatore District Cricket Association will hold trials to select the under-15 and under-17 teams at the SNR Sons College grounds in Coimbatore on June 16 and June 23 respectively. The trials will begin at 8.30 a.m.
