Student seeks withdrawal of dismissal

Kochi: A first-year degree student of St. George College, Aruvithara, in Kottayam has urged the Mahatma Gandhi University to get the order dismissing her from the college withdrawn.

At a press conference here on Saturday, Indulekha Joseph, the student, and her mother alleged that she was dismissed because her father Joseph Varghese, a Malayalam professor at the college, wrote a book criticising the churches.
