CHENNAI: The State Government on Saturday decided to release all the activists of the All India Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), barring 28 persons against whom there were specific charges, in connection with the Statewide agitation launched by the party "abruptly without getting police permission." An official release here said the Government had asked the police to release the activists after getting the permission of the courts concerned. The 28 persons had been arrested by the Arovil police under Sections 143, 147, 188, 332, 426 and 307 IPC, the release said.
