FCI, Syndicate Bank triumph

NEW DELHI: Rajender Bisht (52) and Pankaj Thakur (50 and three for 29) played stellar roles to lead the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to 37-run win obver Kishan Ganj Colts and clinch the Premier Division title in the DDCA cricket league championship at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground here on Saturday.

FCI scored 244 in 39.4 overs and then restricted Kishan Ganj to 207.

In the Super Plate division, Syndicate Bank defeated Sonnex Club by four wickets. Sumit Rana (87) and Rohit Sharma (three for 39 and 58) shone in Syndicate's title win.

The scores: Premier Division: FCI 244 in 39.4 overs (Rajender Bisht 52, Chetan Sharma 47, Pankaj Thakur 50) bt Kishan Ganj Colts 207 in 33.4 overs (Jaswinder Singh 51, Rakshit Pant 44 n.o.).

Super Plate: Sonnex Club 218 for nine in 40 overs (Rohit Malik 51, Anuj Meena 43) lost to Syndicate Bank 221 for six in 29.1 overs (Sumit Rana 87, Rohit Sharma 58). — Principal Correspondent
