Abhishek shines

NEW DELHI: Abhishek Kaushik hit an unbeaten 131 to steer Kishan Ganj Colts to a five-wicket win over ONGC in the DDCA league cricket championship at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground here on Friday. With this victory, Kishan Ganj entered the Premier Division final.

Kishan Ganj restricted ONGC to 213 for seven in 40 overs. Kaushik then provided a rousing start and also stayed till the end leading his team home with 5.5 overs to spare. Kishan Ganj Colts will meet the Food Corporation of India in the final on Saturday.

The scores: Premier Division: ONGC 213 for seven in 40 overs (Mahesh Rawat 56) lost to Kishan Ganj Colts 214 for five in 34.1 overs (Abhishek Kaushik 131 n.o., Ranjit Singh 40).
