KADAPA: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy will lay foundation stone for the first phase of Brahmani Industries Limited, an integrated steel plant, the largest one in the State, at Ambavaram in Jammalamadugu mandal on June 10. The first phase of the steel plant, to be established by an MLC of Bellary, Janardhana Reddy, would be completed in 18 months with an investment of Rs. 4,500 crore and initial installed capacity of two million tonnes. The district administration has allotted 10,675 acres of land in Jammalamadugu constituency at a cost of Rs. 18,500 per acre, following the State Cabinet's approval of proposals to set up the steel plant.
