Maninder Singh hospitalised

NEW DELHI:
Nearly three weeks after he was arrested for allegedly possessing drugs, the former cricketer, Maninder Singh, was on Saturday admitted to an East Delhi hospital with mysterious cut injuries on his wrists.
Maninder was rushed to the Shanti Mukund Hospital from his Preet Vihar residence by his neighbour Sanjay around 1 a.m. According to hospital authorities, Maninder was brought in an unconscious state and was bleeding profusely from his wrists. His blood pressure was not recordable and he was in a state of shock. He was operated upon and administered four units of blood. He has been shifted to the ICU.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Delhi) Ajay Chaudhry said Maninder's wife and mother had said it was an accident.
