Woman relieved of jewels

Staff Reporter

TAMBARAM: A 54-year-old woman was relieved of her gold chains at a suburban railway station on Wednesday evening.

In her complaint to the Government Railway Police, Tambaram, Pattammal, a resident of Maraimalai Nagar, said she got down at Potheri while returning home by an electric train. When she was on the platform, two children, in the age group of 12-15, assaulted her and snatched the chains, weighing 12 sovereigns.
