Chennai: The draft photo electoral rolls for the 14 constituencies in the city will be released on June 11, a release from the Chennai Corporation said. The rolls will be displayed from June 11-26 in the Corporation's 10 zonal offices, a few centres, to be designated by the civic body, and all the post offices. A voter can check if his name, address and photo in the rolls are correct. A voter can get details rectified by submitting the following forms: Form 8A for address change within a constituency; Form 6 for address change to a different constituency; Form 8 for correction of personal details; Form 7 for deletion from the electoral rolls. The old address and proof of new address must be provided for address correction. Residents, who have turned 18 on or after January 1, 2007, may submit Form 6 for inclusion in the rolls. In all cases, applicants must paste a passport-size photo (with a sign or thumbprint across it) on the form and provide another photo. The release said bulk forms would not be accepted, and applicants must submit their forms at the designated centres. More details can be had from the Corporation's zonal offices.
