Scrap G.O. 399: teachers' body

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Teachers' Federation has demanded scrapping of G.O. 399, as it tended to ignore real issues.

K. Venugopal, president, and S. Zilani, general secretary, in a statement issued here, wanted the Government to identify non-locals for implementing G.O. 610 as also for the purpose of DSC selections.

They said the administration should display the lists of non-locals of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak districts and effect `ideal' transfers.

The APTF leaders opposed preparation of lists of non-locals at the district level when G.O. 610 stipulated that non-locals in Zones V and VI should have been moved out.
