Water supply to be affected

Thiruvananthapuram: Water supply to Chakka, Karikkakom, ITI junction, and Airport quarters would be affected from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 10. A release said the suspension of water supply is to shift the Kerala Water Authority's pipeline at KSEB junction, Chakka.

Journalism course

Thiruvananthapuram: Applications have been invited for courses being conducted at Trivandrum Press Club's Institute of Journalism. The courses being offered are one year Diploma in Journalism, six months Diploma in Citizen's Journalism and one year Diploma in Electronic Journalism. The minimum qualification is degree. Applications should reach the Press Club before June 22, a release said.

Mayor praises

municipal staff

Thiruvananthapuram: Mayor C. Jayan Babu has commended the employees owing allegiance to the Kerala Municipal and Corporation Staff Union for working on June 9 in all city corporations and municipalities despite it being a Second Saturday. In a release here, the Mayor said other unions in municipalities should follow the path of KMCSU.

MBA admission

Thiruvananthapuram: The group discussion and interview for admission to the MBA programme in Department of Management Studies, Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, will be held on June 13. A release said admissions are open for graduates with a MAT score of above 500.

Dharna staged

Thiruvananthapuram: Chempakaserry Residents Action Council on Saturday staged a dharna in protest against the proposed high-rise apartment project coming up in the locality.
