"Opposition to GO 610 meaningless"

Staff Reporter

Madhu Yashki Goud favours withdrawal of GO 399, as there is opposition from Andhra as well as Telangana people

NALGONDA: Madhu Yashki Goud, Congress MP from Nizamabad, has alleged that leaders of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions are lobbying against the separate State demand.

"If the senior leaders hailing from Telangana can't fight against the lobby of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, we can't achieve a separate State," the MP observed at the meet-the-press organised by the Nalgonda Press Club here on Sunday.

"There is a delay in achieving separate State as the Andhra lobby is politically and financially very sound," he maintained.

Mr.Madhu asked the leaders like Harirama Jogaiah to stop further hurting the sentiments of the people of Telangana.

Issues warning

"I warn such leaders against continuing to test the patience of the people of this region. Don't misunderstand our patience with incompetence.

We must separate on an amicable note," he said dubbing the opposition to the GO 610 from senior Congress leaders as "meaningless."

On the controversial GO 399, the MP said: "Since there is an opposition from Andhra as well as Telangana people, it is better to withdraw the GO." He reiterated that the AICC president Sonia Gandhi "treats the Telangana issue as a serious matter."

Hails Sonia Gandhi

Hailing Ms.Sonia as "more than a true Indian," Mr.Yashki refuted the allegations made by the evangelist K.A.Paul against her. "Mr.Paul's credentials are indeed questionable," he maintained.

Condemning the allegations made by senior leader Gone Prakash Rao against him at Hyderabad, the MP said: "My life is an open book and I dare Mr.Rao to go for any inquiry against me instead of levelling baseless allegations."

Separate State

He suspected the hand of `some high-level persons' behind the outburst of Mr.Rao. "It's an attempt to silence me over the issue of the separate State," he added.
