ASC triumphs

Bangalore: Army Service Corps (ASC) defeated Young Orions 42-25 in the final, and emerged champion in the C. Muniswamy Memorial State-level basketball championship's mens' section at Kolar on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, in the womens' final, IBBC defeated JSC 39-37.

The results (finals): Men: ASC 42 (Ranga 15) bt Young Orions 25 (Sriram 13), HT: 23-17. Women: IBBC 39 (Chitra Williams 15, Nandana 11) bt JSC 37 (Siri 11, Brinda 9), HT: 25-22.
