Violation of various MV Act rules, including usage of spurious gas kits in cars, cited as reasons

HYDERABAD: The Regional Transport Authority in a special drive has cancelled the licences of over 25 motor driving schools in the twin cities for violating various Motor Vehicle Act rules, including usage of spurious gas kits in cars and operating without registration.

Notices were also issued to nearly 20 other motor driving schools for providing training to aspirants who did not possess learning licence. In all there are 125 motor driving schools and it is mandatory for them to get registered with RTA and renew their licences after every three years, but most of the schools were found violating these rules, said Joint Transport Commissioner B. Venkateswarlu.

"Many driving schools were indulging in collecting extra fee ," he said.
