TRAC support for bullet train

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The district committee of the Trivandrum Residents Apex Council (TRAC) has urged the State Government to speed up the proposal for a high-speed bullet train linking the northern districts with the capital city.

The committee, which met here on Friday, decided to conduct an Electricity Adalat to find a solution to the problems faced by domestic consumers in the city. Residents associations were directed to forward complaints and suggestions to the TRAC office at Ookode before June 30.

TRAC will organise a public function at Gandhi Park as part of an initiative to bring out a development plan for the district. Similar meetings will be organised in all the 14 Assembly constituencies in the district. Leaders of various organisations will attend the public functions and submit their proposals.
