COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association signed an agreement with Innovative Concepts Events recently to hold annual consumer fairs here.

C. Muthusami, association president, told presspersons that through the six-year partnership, the CODISSIA ICE consumer expo would be held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex for about a couple of weeks every year.

National brands

Umesh Chandra Pandey, Chief Executive Officer of Innovative Concepts Events, said that the company organised consumer fairs in cities such as Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi every year.

It was usually held for 12 to 14 days and the company had tie-ups with some national brands.

Hence, these products were available to consumers at attractive prices, he said.

Special events such as kids show, music programme and fashion shows would be organised on all the exhibition days. So the visitors could get good discounts for shopping, entertainment through special programmes and food at the food courts.

The fair would be held here from October 11 to 23, occupying nearly one lakh sq.ft of total exhibition space.

It would have consumer electronics, automobiles, banking and investment, consumer durables, real estate, furniture and fashion products.

It would have participants from other countries too.

CODISSIA would extend its trade fair complex and Innovative Concepts had the expertise in organising consumer fairs.

So the tie-up would help organise consumer fair of international standards here.
