Spurs wins again, leads 2-0

SAN ANTONIO: The San Antonio Spurs moved closer to its third championship in the last five years by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 103-92 on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA finals.

San Antonio held a 29-point lead with less than a minute to go in the third quarter but Cleveland outscored the Spurs 25-6 during the first seven minutes of the final frame to trim the deficit to 95-87.

But Manu Ginobili was fouled while hitting a three-point shot and his four-point play gave the Spurs a 101-89 lead with 2:24 left. The best-of-seven series shifts to Cleveland for games three, four and, if necessary, five. — Agencies
