Raju scalps five

VISAKHAPATNAM: Young mediumpacer P.A.V.N. Raju claimed five-wickets to help East Coast Railway Sports Association to record a 118-run win over majestic CC in the VDCA First Division clubs league here on Monday.

In the second division, Vizag Colts beat Sunny Slogans by 164 runs, thanks to an unbeaten 163 (17x4, 2x6) by S. Ramesh and B. Srihari Rao's five-wicket haul.

The scores:

First Division: E.Co.R.S.A. 227 for nine in 50 overs (Madhusudhan 62, D. Ravikumar 41, Ravi Shankar four for 54, Satyanarayana four for 54) bt Majestic CC 109 in 27.1 overs (P.A.V.N. Raju five for 28).

Second Division: Vizag Colts 294 for six in 50 overs (S. Ramesh 164 n.o., Md. Vaziruddin 79 n.o.) bt Sunny Slogans 130 in 34.3 overs (Purushottam 40, B. Srihari Rao five for 19).

Vizag Blues 162 in 48.4 overs (Ramesh Reddy four for 24) lost to Royal CC 165 for eight in 42.5 overs (Kishore four for 70).
