BHUBANESWAR: the Orissa Government on Monday announced a five per cent dearness allowance hike for its employees. The hike would have retrospective effect from June 1, 2006. According to the Chief Minister's Office, the employees of the State Government will start getting the hiked salary and arrears from their July salary. The employees of the fully government-aided schools and colleges will also get the benefit of the increase in the dearness allowance. The former employees of the State Government who have been drawing their pension will also get the benefit of the hike.
