State rectifies GO 399

HYDERABAD: In the face of criticism, the Government on Monday rectified its controversial order 399 issued recently to facilitate repatriation of non-local employees to their respective zones in accordance with GO 610. Chief Secretary J. Harinarayan announced to the media the "corrigendum" to the GO in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at the Secretariat.

By an amendment, the Government removed the clause that gave an impression of providing certain quota for non-locals who would be untouched by the process.
