COIMBATORE: The Kumaraguru College of Technology and the Texas Tech University, USA, will conduct here a meet on advances in textiles from June 18 to 20. According to a release, the conference will have deliberations on the advances in spinning, weaving, non-woven process and applications, medical and technical textiles, natural and manmade fibre, military textiles, finishing and nano-technology.
Manufacturers
Leading machinery manufacturers, industry representatives and academia will discuss the latest technologies in the different sectors. The event is endorsed by the United States Congressman, Randy Neugebauer. The Minister of States for Textiles, EVKS Elangovan, will inaugurate it.
Plenary lecture
A plenary lecture on the `Outlook for the Non-woven and Technical Textile Industry in India' will be held as part of the three-day programme.
Delegates
Over 250 participants, including delegates from the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Spain and China, are expected.
