RESTORING NORMALITY: Restoration work in progress near Visakhapatnam late on Monday night after the coaches of Nagercoil-Howrah Express derailed killing three persons.
VISAKHAPATNAM: Some of the trains originating and others passing through Visakhapatnam on Tuesday were either cancelled or were running several hours behind schedule in view of the derailment of the Nagercoil - Howrah Gurudev Express at Duvvada near here on Monday night. The trains which were cancelled on Tuesday were: 2805/2806 Visakhapatnam-Tenali-Visakhapatnam Express, 7240/7239 Visakhapatnam-Guntur- Visakhapatnam Express, 2718/2717 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Express, 426/429/425/430 Visakhapatnam-Machilipatnam-Vijayawada Passenger, 471/472 Vijayawada-Rayagada-Vijayawada Passenger, 436/435 Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam-Rajahmundry Passenger, 179/180 Kakinada-Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Passenger trains. Train 2660 Howrah-Nagercoil Gurudev Express scheduled to leave Shalimar on June 13 stands cancelled. Trains running late are 1020 Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express (7.45 hours), 7479 Puri-Tirupathi Express (7.25 hours), 8645 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express (4.45 hours), 2841 Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express (3.37 hours), 2665 Howrah-Kanyakumari Express (2.50 hours), 2842 Chennai-Howarh Coromandel Express (10.10 hours), 8646 Hyderabad- Howrah East Coast Express (9.30 hours), 2704 Secunderabad-Howrah Falaknuma Express (6 hours), 2890 Yesvantpur-Tatanagar (6.30 hours) and 2728 Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Godavari (4 hours).
