KOLKATA: Rahul Banerjee of Steel Plant and Chekrovolu Swuro of Nagaland were to the fore in the recurve bow section on the first day of the four-day third National ranking prize money tournament at the SAI, Eastern Centre, here on Tuesday. On an oppressive day that saw some superb scores in the first FITA qualifying round, former World No. 1 Jayanta Talukdar of Steel Plant and Mangal Singh Champia of Railways came up with sterling display to occupy the second and third places after 144 arrows were shot over four distances, 90m, 70, 50 and 30m.
Commendable job
