GULBARGA: Relatives of Prashant Dhumalle (37), employee of a Tahsildar office of Aland taluk who had set himself on fire, created a ruckus at Basaveshwar Teaching and General Hospital here on Monday. They damaged the glass of the hospital's main door alleging delay in treatment. Prashant who had set himself on fire in his house around 7.30 p.m. on Monday was brought to the hospital with 90 per cent burns. His relatives alleged that no doctor was available to provide treatment. When no one turned up to provide treatment even after an hour, the enraged relatives and friends of the victim attacked some of the staff of the hospital and damaged a door. The police brought the situation under control. Later, the hospital authorities deputed a team of doctors to provide treatment to the victim. However, Prashant succumbed to the burns on Tuesday.
