Stop levelling charges against Government, Raghavulu told

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee has asked CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu to stop levelling charges against the

Congress Government for the sake of publicity.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Congress MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy and PCC spokesman N. Tulasi Reddy wondered why Mr. Raghavulu was making "baseless" charges against the Government when it was taking up housing and land distribution for poor with commitment.

"Mr. Raghavulu is unable to see the Congress continuing in power," Mr. Sudhakar Reddy said.

They ridiculed the CPI (M) State secretary's comments that the CLP delegation that toured West Bengal should have met Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.

"Will Mr. Bhattacharya disclose the shortcomings of his Government?" they asked.

Outlining the measures initiated by the Government like distribution of 4.37 lakh acres, they cautioned Mr. Raghavulu against creating hurdles in the implementation of the schemes by such agitations.
