HAVERI: Members of organisations including Jan Vikas Andolan, National Committee For Protection of Natural Resources and Gram Ganarajya Vedike took out a march here on Monday against the Karnataka Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2007. They also organised a "Sankalp Sabha" as part of the "Azadi Se Swaraj" campaign at Murghrajendra Math. The protestors alleged that the recent amendment was against the tenets of Panchayat Raj movement and was against the Constitution. They urged the Chief Minister to drop Panchyati Raj Minister C.M. Udasi from the Cabinet as he was bent on "weakening the Panchayat Raj institutions".
