`Endrendrum Nagesh' to honour veteran comedian
It is going to be a star-studded evening on June 17 at Kamarajar Arangam. From director K. Balachander to comedian Vivek, a host of Kollywood celebrities will come together for `Endrendrum Nagesh', a tribute organised by Abbas for the veteran comedian.
The list of invitees includes Kamal Haasan, K. Bhagyaraj, Sripriya, Kushboo, Cho and Pandiayarajan. M.S. Viswanathan is scheduled to preside over the event that also features poet Vaali, who has had a long association with Nagesh. Ganesh Krupa, (M.S.Viswanthan's troupe) will play only Nagesh songs. The veteran debuted in the film, "Thamaikulam", and went on to act in hundreds of films alongside top stars of the Tamil film industry.
Abbas Jayaraman said: "When we approached top stars with the proposal for a felicitation, the overwhelming response we got showed the respect Nagesh commands in the fraternity."
