More affordable old age homes needed
Bangalore:
In response to the Public Eye feature on how the city treats its senior citizens published on June 6, 77-year-old S. Kuppuswamy of Kalyan Nagar says: Bangalore needs more old age homes that are affordable. Even those who stay with their children need some homes for temporary stay as a respite.
G.S. Narayanan of 4th T. Block, Jayanagar says: Some feel that they are approaching an abyss and are sure to fall even before they retire. They should, instead, feel that they are going to begin a new life at 60. Those who plan ahead save money, reduce their wants and take up new challenges that would selflessly help their society.
