Bogus medical claims: court for quick trial

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court on Tuesday declared that the criminal case filed against an MLA on the charge of raising bogus medical claims should be tried expeditiously, preferably within three months.

The Bench was dealing with a Public Interest Litigation petition.

Allegations were made to the effect that officers of the Government are not taking interest in pursuing the case against Y. Raja Ramachander, MLA of Kaikalur in Krishna district.
