Some respite from heat

NEW DELHI: After three days of sizzling heat with temperatures hovering over the 40-degree Celsius mark, the Capital got some relief on Tuesday with the mercury sliding down to 37.2 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was 30.3 degrees.

Delhiites woke up to a cloudy, cooler morning on Tuesday after having weathered a blistering weekend with the maximum temperature soaring to 44.9 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the hottest day of this summer so far.

The maximum humidity on Tuesday was 71 per cent, while the minimum was 49 per cent.

The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky on Wednesday with possibility of rain and thundershowers in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 37 degrees.
