dated June 14, 1957: Madras Electricity Board

The Madras Government have decided to constitute a five-member Electricity Board for the State with effect from July 1 next. Mr. S.K. Chettur, Secretary, Public Works Department, will be Chairman of the Board, and three other members are: Mr. V.P. Appadurai, Chief Engineer, Electricity, Mr. T.A. Verghese, Secretary, Finance Department, and Mr. T.K. Palaniappan, Director of Industries. The Board will take over the entire administration of the Electricity Department.
