Red sanders seized in Kadapa district

KADAPA: Andhra Pradesh forest officials seized red sander logs worth about Rs. 3 lakh in two different raids in Kadapa district on Wednesday.

Forest officials arrested a mini-lorry driver Shaik Abdul Jabbar and seized 100 red sander logs worth about Rs. 1 lakh in Mallepalle beat in Porumamilla range, according to Forest Ranger Ravindra Reddy.

In another raid, they arrested three persons and seized 278 red sander logs worth about Rs. 2 lakh in Vanipenta range in Mydukur mandal. One hundred and ninety logs were seized in the Thippireddipalle beat and 88 logs in the Mudireddipalle beat, according to Deputy Range Officer Ramasubbaiah.
