Call for a stir against power, water crisis

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party working committee has adopted a unanimous resolution calling for a strong movement against the severe scarcity of power and water in the Capital.

The working committee meeting held at the Delhi BJP headquarters was attended among others by the party leader in charge of Delhi affairs, Thawar Chand Gehlot, Member of Parliament Vijay Kumar Malhotra, former Union Minister Vijay Goel, Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi and Mayor Arti Mehra.

The committee was of the view that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had no right to continue in power as she had failed to provide even basic amenities like power and water to the citizens during her Government's nine-year rule. It called upon the people of Delhi to join the movement .
