RKKR Steels to put up mini steel unit in 2 phases APIIC allots 151 acres to set up Rs.200 cr. plant
NELLORE: After Brahmani Steels, it is now the turn of RKKR Steels Limited to set up a steel plant. Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will lay the foundation stone to the project here at Kolanakoduru of Manobolu mandal on July 15. The RKKR Steels Limited, which has been in manufacturing and trading flat and long steel products, will establish the plant in two phases. And it will manufacture special bar quality iron, which is required for the automobile sector. Mini plant
According to Information and Public Relations Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has allotted 151 acres of land to the company to set up mini plant with an investment of Rs. 200 crore. The company has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities as well as re-rolling mills at Tiruvottiyur and Gummudipundi, which is close to Chennai port. The Minister claimed that the mini plant was expected to generate employment avenues to around 1,500 people and unemployed youth especially local people might jobs based on their academic qualification and experience in the related field. Moreover, the Chief Minister will also lay a foundation stone to Rajiv Gruhakalpa project (Nellore) at Kothur on the same date. Housing Minister Botsa Satyanarayana would also visit the district along with Mr. Rajasekhara Reddy, he added.
