1,500 BSNL numbers changed

CHENNAI: BSNL Chennai Telephones is transferring about 1500 telephone numbers as part of its measures to improve telephone and broadband services.

A BSNL press release said the transfers would apply to numbers starting with 2841, 2842, 2852, 2853, 2854, 2855, 2856, 2857, 2858 and 2859 serving a cluster of streets.

As a result, telephones in the sector from Anna Road MSU Exchange to Dinroze MSU Exchange functioning at 87-93, Thayar Sahib Street, Anna Salai, will begin on the new level “2860 / 2861” with effect from 5 p.m. on Thursday.

The change will be effected in around 43 streets bounded in the west by Woods Road – GP Road, in the east by Fakir Sahib Street, in the north by Boo Begum Street – CP Koil street and in the south by part of Pycrofts Road are covered by this area transfer.

Customers having NSD / ISD facility are requested to re-register their password.
