Paila Foundation to take up service activities

VISAKHAPATNAM: Paila Foundation will take up a number of service and awareness activities in the backward Madugula mandal. According to the foundation chairman Paila Prasada Rao, the activities were aimed at helping youth and people in the mandal. The foundation was launched by Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader K.Yerran Naidu on Sunday at Madugula.

Mr. Prasada Rao told reporters here on Wednesday that the trust would take up education and career counselling for youth who had completed intermediate and graduation. Besides, computer education would be offered at a nominal price. Another handicap faced by educated youth was their inability to speak English. The foundation would conduct debates to help them overcome their nervousness.

He said that to help the educated physically disabled earn a living, the trust would sponsor tuitions by them to children from poor families.

Free tools

On the health front, the trust would keep one or two vehicles ready to help extend emergency care. Also, free tools would be provided to farmers. The trust would take up cleanliness campaign and awareness programmes among people. For instance, it would keep dustbins at shops at Madugula and later shift the trash for dumping.
