Asian Foods to invest Rs. 100 cr.

CHENNAI: The Salem-based Asian Health and Nutri Foods Limited (AHNFL) producers and marketers of `Jeyyam' brand of dhals, plans to invest Rs. 100 crore for expanding its operations. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, K. Saravanan, Managing Director, said the company had planned to diversify into dhal varieties and enter into contract farming. He said Rs. 35 crore would come through equity from Soft bank, Rs. 15 crore from internal accruals and the balance through debt.
