Belgaum: The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has invited applications from eligible Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates for admission to full-time and part-time M.E./M. Tech./M. Arch. programmes for the academic year 2007-08 in seventy two courses offered by the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore (Bangalore University); University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere; Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science (both Kuvempu University); Department of Studies in Computer Science (University of Mysore) and postgraduate departments, regional centres and extension centres of VTU and institutions affiliated to VTU. According to VTU Registrar M.S. Shivakumar, the application forms can be downloaded till July 5. The last date for receipt of applications at PGCET Cell, Belgaum is July 5. The written test (only for non-GATE candidates) will be held on July 15. While ranks would be declared on July 30, the tentative seat selection process would commence from August 2. For more information regarding application forms, eligibility criteria, list of M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. programmes and colleges offering M.E./M.Tech. programmes, candidates may log on to www.vtu.ac.in or http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in. These websites also have the admission brochure containing all details.
