Rare honour for youngster

Jiji Joseph was exuberant on being selected to represent India at the United Nations-Junior Chamber International (JCI) Joint Millennium Leadership Summit. Representatives from 125 JCI along with UN representatives will meet on June 27, 28 and 29 at the UN headquarters in New York. Mr. Joseph will also present one of the eight Millennium Development Goals to be taken up for discussion at the summit. He sent a three-hour presentation on the subject ‘Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.’

Impressed by the presentation the organisers asked “whether I will be able to make a presentation on another theme as well,” Mr. Joseph told the media at a press conference in Kochi recently. A rare honour, indeed.
