PATHANAMTHITTA: The Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala will open on Friday afternoon for the five-day monthly puja. Melsanthi E. Eeswaran Namboodiri will open the sanctum sanctorum at 5.30 p.m. The rituals will begin only with the Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru performing the Ganapatihomom on Saturday morning. A Laksharchana and Sahasrakalasbhishekom will be performed at Sabarimala on June 20. The temple will close after the Athazhapuja in the evening, marking the culmination of the five-day puja in Midhunom.
