Belgaum City Corporation Council quota announced

Belgaum: The Department of Urban Development has announced the list for reservation of wards of Belgaum City Corporation Council and invited objections from members of the public.

According to sources, the department issued the notification on Monday after making some changes in the initial list announced some time ago. The changes were effected on the basis of objections from members of the public. As per Monday’s order, in the 58-member Council, four seats were reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and one for Scheduled Tribe category. The wards reserved for SC are 22 (woman), 39, 45 and 56. While the ward number 56 has been reserved for ST (woman).
