Guest lecturers: The Department of Malayalam is appointing guest lecturers on contract basis. The requisite qualification is that the candidate should have secured 55 per cent marks in M.A. Malayalam and should have qualified the Natio nal Eligibility Test conducted by the University Grants Commission. Those interested should reach the chamber of the Vice-Chancellor at 10.30 a.m. on June 19 along with all certificates including proof of age.

Selection of volunteers: Applications have been invited from graduates to fill vacancies of volunteers in the National Service Volunteer Scheme sponsored by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs in the districts of Malappuram, Wayanad, K ozhikode, Palakkad and Thrissur districts. Applicants should be graduates, posses certificates of the National Service Scheme and be 27 years of age as on March 31, 2006. However, women belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes will get an age relaxation up to three years. Applications can be sent to the Programme Coordinator, NSS, Calicut University P.O.— 673 635.

MBBS Examination: The last date to submit applications for the second professional MBBS examination without fine is June 16 and with a fine of Rs.100, June 21. The examinations will commence on July 10.

Examination postponed: The second year B.Sc. Part III Subsidiary, Regular Supplementary Improvement examination scheduled to be held on June 19 has been postponed to June 29. The Part I and II Special Supplementary examination schedule d on July 4 has also been postponed to July 13. The third professional BAMS Regular and Supplementary examination will start on June 29.
