Shatam tank to be cleaned

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and Special Officer C.V.S.K. Sarma has ordered deepening of storm water drains to divert the flood water of Shatam tank and also remove encroachments on the bunds.

He inspected the inlet and outlet vents. The bottlenecks, along with water hyacinth, will be removed from the tank.

Later, he also looked at the de-silting work going on in the storm water drains in Serilingampally and Kukatpally. A balance retaining wall is to be taken up for the Hakeempet Tank. Senior Officers of the corporation were present.
