Hyderabad: For the first time in the city, campus placements are being conducted for mobile phone manufacturers Nokia at the Holy Mary Institute of Technology and Science, Bogaram, on the outskirts of the city on June 17. Students from all over the State who have passed engineering in 2007 academic year can attend the campus interviews being conducted by Marquis Technologies, a Mumbai-based firm. As the placements will be for test engineers, students who hold a B.E. or B.Tech in electronics & communication, electronics & electrical engineering and computer science can attend the interviews. According to Varaprasad Reddy, chairman of the institution, this is the first time that placements for a huge company like Nokia are being conducted in the State. Interest evinced
Students with good academic track record and excellent communication skills and willing to work in Mumbai can make use of the opportunity. He said the college was looking at targeting companies that generally don’t visit the State for placements. He said several companies had evinced interest for recruitment of MBA and MCA students also and placement interviews will be conducted soon for them.
